General Questions
A virtual challenge is an event that can be completed at your own time and place during the challenge period from 4 August 2022 (0000hrs) to 25 October 2022 (2359hrs). Walk/run/cycle at your own pace and route, even indoors on a treadmill, during the challenge period. Participants can earn e-badges when you submit qualifying activities.
Registration Questions

You can register for the challenge by clicking here, and providing your personal particulars in the registration form. Upon registration, you will receive a confirmation email to your registered email. If it does not appear in your Inbox, please check your Spam folder.

Following are the categories for you to choose from:

All registered participants will receive a confirmation email and receipt upon successful registration. If it does not appear in your Inbox, please check your Spam folder.

Please allow up to 12 hours to receive your confirmation email. There are several reasons you may have not received your confirmation slip after this time period:
  • It could be in your spam/junk folder.
  • Registration was unsuccessful.
  • The email address entered at time of registration is incorrect.
Please email providing the email address and your name used at time of registration process for the team to check your registration status.
Yes, you can login to your account to make changes to some of your personal particulars such as your profile photo and fundraising target.
Change of categories will not be allowed once registration is confirmed.
Yes, you may sign-up for more than one category.
Yes, you can still take part in the challenge as long as you are able to track and submit your activities.

Please take note that one account and email address can only be used to register for one participant, i.e. each participant will need to have an account and email address to register for the challenge.

To register for a New Team, please register here and select the “Team Leader of a New Team” option and a Team code will be issued to you (Team Leader). Remember to share the Team code for the rest of your Team members to use during their individual registration.

To join an Existing Team, please register here and select “Member of Existing Team” option. Remember to use the Team code provided by your Team Leader.

There is no maximum number of members for Team sign up. Please ensure that all activities must be carried out in accordance with prevailing safe distancing measures.
Submission Questions
Record your activities using a GPS-based app like STRAVA, Garmin, MapMyRun, Runkeeper, etc. Read our guide on how to submit your activity.
There is no limit to the number of submissions that you can make, as long as the activity is recorded on your STRAVA app and synced to the website or manually submitted, during the period from 4 August 2022 (0000hrs) to 25 October 2022 (2359hrs). Please plan your activities in advance so that you optimise your walking/running/cycling activities within this challenge period while staying safe.
Yes, you can have multiple activities within a single day. It is entirely up to you when you wish to conduct your walking/running/cycling activities as long as they are done within the challenge period.
Yes, any walking/running/hiking is eligible and that includes climbing up the stairs.
Yes, you may, as long as the activities (walk/run/cycle) were performed and recorded during the virtual challenge period from 4 August 2022 (0000hrs) to 25 October 2022 (2359hrs).
Fundraising And Donations Questions

Your profile information will show the distance category that you have signed up for and the donation amount that you have fundraised to date. You may log in to view your profile page.

Alternatively, you may view the amount that you have fundraised by searching for your name or Team name in the fundraising leaderboard here.
All funds raised will be channelled towards Mercy Relief’s Impact Fund to help us scale up our operations in serving our beneficiaries. No refunds of donations will be made.

Yes, as long as your full name and NRIC are provided. Eligible donors will enjoy tax exemption of 250% of the donated amount. These are required to process the tax exemption and will be submitted to IRAS.

Payment for the registration fees qualifies for tax exemption in accordance to prevailing IRAS guidelines.
All donations raised will help Mercy Relief scale our impact both locally and regionally, and empower disaster-stricken communities.

Yes, you may also donate to Mercy Relief by cheque.

Crossed cheque should be made payable to “Mercy Relief Limited” and mailed to 160 Lorong 1 Toa Payoh, #01-1568, Singapore 310160.

Please indicate “Ground Zero Bike+Run 2022” on the back of the cheque, as well as the following information.
Please provide your name, NRIC number, mailing address, email address, contact details and at the back of the cheque if you wish to receive tax exemption.
Refund Questions
All registration fees are strictly non-refundable.
No, refunds and cancellations are strictly not allowed.

The Finisher e-Certificate will be made available for download after the challenge, in October 2022 for eligible participants. Please login to your account to download the e-Certificates here after 26 October 2022, 0000hrs.
Tracking Progress Questions

You will be able to view the distance you have completed from your profile page after logging in here. You may also view the distance that you have completed by searching for your name or Team name in the leaderboard here.

It is recommended to download and sign up for a STRAVA account and sync it to the challenge website. Please refer to the guide for the step by step guide on how to link up your STRAVA account. If you do not have a STRAVA account, please create a new STRAVA account.

Walk, run, cycle activities can be tracked and submitted for this challenge. Do ensure your activity is of the correct category, as other activities will not be recorded for the challenge.

Indoor activities* are to be submitted through manual submission.

*Applicable only for treadmill, stairs stepper and stationary bike.
Yes, treadmill, stairs stepper, and stationary bike activities can be accepted. Do ensure the equipment displays the distance and the screenshot shows the distance covered.
Yes, you can use a screenshot of your smartwatch for an activity. You may also take a screenshot of the mobile app or website version of the activity tracked using your smartwatch after you synced the activity.
Each Team member should record their own activities. If you are unable to do so, please email us at with your full name, email address and partial NRIC/FIN+DDMMYYYY of your birthdate so that we can investigate further and assist you. We reserve the right to reject any screenshots that are duplicated submissions.
STRAVA App Questions
The usage of a STRAVA account is optional and is solely for the purpose of syncing the completed distance for the challenge. You are solely responsible for the personal data that you provide or disseminate via this third party platform, and your personal data may be subject to the personal data policies of this third party platform.

  3. Click on Link My STRAVA Account
  4. Click on authorise
Please ensure that the current account logged in is the correct account as the one linked to your phone. Should they be different accounts (e.g. Website linked to Facebook STRAVA, but phone linked to Google STRAVA), you may experience difficulty uploading your activities. If this occurs, please proceed to unlink the current account and relink the correct account.
